Yemimah's World
Gifted Storyteller, Playwright and Producer

Yemimah calls herself the Djelimusa of the Western World. Tracing her ancestry back to the Tourag Nation of Mali Africa, she learned she comes from a long line of Djelimusas. Yemimah has provided Storytelling, Character interpretation and Workshops to Schools, Churches, Libraries and Musuems across the country. She has been a part of Arts For Learning Touring Artist since 2018.
In 2021, Yemimah was privileged to be a WNBA Authentic Voices Fellow, where she was able to hone her writing skills that helped her develop characters for her presentations. She also joined the Wolf Trap Teaching Artist Roster to assist teachers on how to incorporate Storytelling in the classroom.
